koni and JoeKOJO is moving forward with a mission statement which keeps the company focused on excellence. When Joe E. Robertson founded Southwest Quilted Products in 1975 and Koni Kim founded Koniart in 1976, they conducted their businesses with similar philosophies. It was apparent that a strong "synergy" between Koni and Joe's attitudes and ethics contributed greatly to their success. "Synergy means one plus one becomes more than two...three or ten. We found incredible joy when we discovered that through discussing our original ideas with each other, we could collectively created a third idea that was far superior to the first two," Koni comments. "You need to make a few spectacular decisions in your business life to set you apart from the competition, and uniting our two companies into one entity as KOJO, was definitely one of those spectacular decisions we made, " Joe adds. "Two of us agree that taking care of our customers at any cost comes first in our Mission Statement: 'It's O.K. to lose an order but never lose a customer' is what we believe at KOJO," according to Joe. "The purpose of our business is to service the worldwide hotel industry with the best quality services and products, thereby providing the best value for every customer," Koni adds.

KOJO has expanded its vision to include upgrading the standards of the hotel industry at large. In doing this it preserves the capabilities to provide solutions for the specific needs of each customer, from the designers, purchasing agents, operators and management companies to the owners. KOJO seeks to introduce the best value for the customer's needs by applying state-of-the-art techniques and innovations towards the design of fabric and the manufacture of bedspreads, draperies, casegoods and furniture.

All Koni designs are created with finished products in mind, taking into account the effects of repeat, scale, and pattern design to bedspreads, drapery, and upholsteries. With its sophisticated creative abilities in-house, KOJO offers what no other hospitality manufacturer can. KOJO accelerates the turnaround of design projects by applying advanced CAD technology towards the development of design themes and screen engraving. All art department services play an integral part in establishing a KOJO support philosophy that stresses improving services to interior designers, project managers, purchasing companies, and hotel owners in addition to creating and developing corporate design programs and collections.
