"The Trees"
Acrylic & oil on canvas. 48" x 60"
An abstract painting rich in colors and details. It features a
complex interplay of lines, shapes, and splatters overlaid on what
appears to be a background suggesting natural forms, possibly trees
or foliage. The predominant colors are greens, yellows, reds, and
blues. There are numerous fine lines crisscrossing in all
directions; some are straight while others are curved or wavy. These
lines connect to various dots scattered throughout the canvas. The
dots themselves vary in size and color, creating a sense of depth
and movement.
In addition to the linear elements, there are areas where paint has
been applied more thickly or splattered, contributing to the overall
dynamism of the piece. The lower right corner has a concentration of
these paint splatters suggesting perhaps flowers or an explosion of
energy.
The painting’s composition is balanced yet energetic, with no single
point dominating the viewer’s attention for long. Instead, the eye
is drawn across and around the image by the interplay of linearity
with painterly chaos.
